Oboist Jeanette Zyko, praised by Fanfare Magazine and ArtsNash for her “refined playing” and “achingly beautiful lines,” enjoys an active schedule as a recitalist and chamber musician. A versatile artist, she has played music ranging from Andriessen to Zelenka and her solo performances have taken her across the United States and most recently to Australia and South America.
Currently, Zyko teaches oboe at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and has previously held positions at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, and the University of Costa Rica. She received her doctorate from Manhattan School of Music.
