Amy Gillespie

Amy is currently serving as the Interim Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Education Institute for Hospice of the Piedmont in Charlottesville, Virginia.

As a nurse for many years, Amy’s experiences include roles as a Staff Nurse, Manager, Assistant Director, Director, and Associate Professor of Nursing. She recently served as the Project Director for a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant and was the faculty advisor for the Nurse Leadership Institute of Virginia. She holds a BA in Psychology, a BSN and MSN in Nursing, and a Doctorate in Education. Amy is certified in Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing.
