April 2018 - Sigma Pi Mu Research Day, James Madison University. Presented Doctoral project: “Improving Lead Screening in 2-year-old Children Enrolled in Medicaid”March 2018 - Sigma Honor Society Induction Ceremony Keynote speaker, Eastern Mennonite University and James Madison University.
September 2014 – Presenter for the local VCNP chapter. “Pediatric Pearls” – a lecture with brief, practical tips and ideas for caring for children in the primary care setting.
October 2012 – Was asked to speak to two Sentara RMH family practice clinics. These clinics were for the first time in several years taking newborns on their first discharge visit from the hospital. This lecture was intended for the nursing staff and provided information on appropriate vital sign measurement in the infant, appropriate scheduling for the ill newborn, and warning signs and symptoms of an ill newborn. Was attended by nursing, MD and office managers.
October 2011 – Presenter at “A Day at Virginia: Whiz Kids – Pediatric Urology and Pediatric Nephrology” sponsored by the Office of Continuing Medical Education, UVA School of Medicine. Lecture title: “To Pee or Not to Pee… that is the problem”. This presentation was intended for an audience of statewide pediatric primary care providers including family physicians, pediatricians, and nurse practitioners.
