Biography
My name is Aram Hussein, and I am a dedicated educator and researcher with a passion for language instruction and linguistic exploration. Born with a curiosity for language and a commitment to fostering effective communication, my journey has led me to become an accomplished figure in the fields of TESOL and linguistics.
My academic journey commenced with a solid foundation, as I obtained my bachelor's degree in English language and literature in 2008. Fueled by my desire to share my language expertise, I embarked on a teaching career shortly after graduating. My early teaching experiences encompassed a diverse range of educational settings, including middle schools, high schools, English language centers, and universities. His ability to adapt his teaching methods to suit the unique needs of each environment quickly earned him a reputation for innovation and effectiveness.
Recognizing the transformative potential of advanced education, I pursued a Master of Arts degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Alliant International University, a milestone I achieved in 2013. Equipped with a deeper understanding of language acquisition theories and instructional strategies, I continued to enrich the lives of my students through engaging and dynamic language classes.
My insatiable appetite for knowledge led me to extend my academic pursuits even further. Presently, I am ardently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Linguistics at George Mason University. This pursuit reflects my commitment to exploring the intricacies of language structure, meaning, and evolution, enhancing my ability to critically analyze and refine my instructional practices.
In addition to my teaching endeavors, I have also emerged as a budding researcher in the fields of first language acquisition, second language learning, English as a Foreign Language (EFL), and English as a Second Language (ESL). My enthusiasm for delving into these areas has culminated in numerous research projects that shed light on the nuances of language acquisition and inform my pedagogical approaches. These projects showcase my dedication to bridging the gap between theory and practice, enriching my teaching methods through evidence-based insights.
My career embodies a harmonious blend of scholarship and education, where my roles as an instructor and researcher harmoniously intersect. Through my unwavering dedication to language education, I continue to shape the linguistic abilities and cultural perspectives of countless students, preparing them to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. As I advance on my academic journey, my contributions to the realms of TESOL and linguistics promise to leave an enduring impact on both classroom practice and the broader study of language.
