Dr. David Hartmann is Emeritus Professor of Operations Management, University of Central Oklahoma. He is a retired United States Air Force officer, serving twenty-five years honorable service in operations and logistics as a rated command pilot in five complex, multi-engined USAF aircraft, in the capacity as aviation flight examiner and instructor pilot, squadron commander, and aircraft commander in operations within the Middle East, Persian Gulf, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Following military retirement, Dave served as the Facilities Quality Systems Manager for the Gaylord Container Corporation, Rochester NY. Following this four year assignmengt, he served for twenty years in higher education as an undergraduate and graduate faculty member with tenure at the University of Central Oklahoma (AACSB accredited), appointed department chair at Saint Gregory’s University and held supplementary faculty positions at the University of Oklahoma, Hampton University, and Rose State College. As a 2011-12, J. William Fulbright Scholar, he taught graduate-level Quality and Systems Engineering academic courses at the University of Business and Technology, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He holds the FAA private pilot rating.
