Sandy works one-on-one with students who need extra help with their English studies. Sandy holds an A.S. in Nursing from Hibbing Community College (in Minnesota) and a B.A. in Biology, with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language from Eastern Mennonite University. Sandy grew up in Canada. As an adult, she worked with handicapped children in Morocco, North Africa for 2 and a half years. She loves learning to know people from other cultures and teaching English. She speaks French and some Moroccan Arabic. Sandy was a classroom teacher at IEP from May 2003 through July 2008, teaching a variety of subjects and levels. Sandy is married and lives with her husband and little daughter very close to EMU.
