Biography
Stefano obtained a bachelor’s and master degree in Aerospace and Astronautical Engineering at Sapienza University (Rome - Italy). During his ph.D. he shifted his interest in Applied Experimental Nuclear Physics and Computer Science. While doctoral student, Stefano was hired by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) as Engineer and Scientist, he spent a decade working on High Energy Physics within the CMS Experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. Stefano worked on several cutting edge systems and advanced software as frontier research requires frontier technologies. After CERN, he decided to move to the US and he joined FloridaTech working on computational aspects (such as firmware, data-acquisition system, electronics).
Since 2018 Stefano joined EMU, to teach computer science and engineering courses.
