Biography
In addition to teaching at EMU, Arlene served on several state wide nursing committees. Her clinical experiences were in rehabilitation, psychiatric, critical care, step-down units and nursing management. Research interests include educational mobility for RNs, transition into practice and historical analysis of nursing supply and demand. She also enjoys biking, reading and landscaping.
Mission Statement
My mission is to teach nursing in such a way that graduates will have the capacity to develop a personal art in nursing that is based on an excellent knowledge base, their own personal resources, a sense of the sacred in moments and places and a profound sense of respect for all people.
