Dr. Yoder mixed teaching and research at EMU with development consulting in over a dozen low-income countries. He first came to EMU after working in Bangladesh for the United Nations and in Swaziland for the U.S. Agency for International Development. Over the years he also worked long-term in Kenya, Jordan and Afghanistan. Yoder taught courses at EMU in economics, development and management. He published in the areas of health economics, management and privatization. He co-authored a book on Development to a Different Drummer: As if Values Mattered.
Yoder provided much of the founding energy, research and vision for the MBA program at EMU.
